World Tuberculosis Day

March 24 is World Tuberculosis (TB) Day. Each year, the Department of Health recognizes World TB Day as part of its continuous efforts to raise awareness.

This year’s World TB Day theme – Yes! We can End TB – is a message of hope and a call to action. TB remains an epidemic in much of the world. This year, World TB Day is calling for increased investment and multisector co-operation to help end TB.

For this year’s World TB Day, the Strong and TB Free Campaign continues its efforts to educate Nunavummiut about TB, with education about treatment and prevention and simplified material specifically for children.

Take the first step in ensuring your community stays Strong and TB Free by making an appointment to get tested at your local health clinic.
