Arviat, Nunavut (December 16, 2025) – Today, Nunavut Premier John Main and Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. (NTI) A/President Paul Irngaut signed the renewal of the 2022 partnership declaration, affirming the value of a positive working relationship between the Government of Nunavut (GN) and NTI through the Nunavut Partnership Committee.

“The Government of Nunavut remains committed to meaningful collaboration and alignment of shared priorities with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc.,” said Premier Main. “Supporting the well-being of Inuit is at the core of our collective efforts under this partnership. We look forward to advancing this important work.”

Building on the Katujjiqatigiinniq Protocol, the Nunavut Partnership Committee commits both parties to act collaboratively on shared interests for Inuit and Nunavummiut.

“Inuit lives will improve through working in constructive, creative and accountable partnership with government as envisioned by Article 32 of the Nunavut Agreement,” said A/President Irngaut. “We are stronger and more efficient when working together.”

The partnership committee is informed by working groups focused on several key areas of mutual concern. Senior leaders work together to identify solutions, provide guidance, and address challenges.
