Premier John Main today made the following statement following the election of Gloria Uluqsi as President of Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated:
“Since the foundation of our Ikajuqtigiikta mandate is about harnessing the power of partnerships, there is no greater partnership in guiding the success of our territory and its people than the one between our government and Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated. We can only design a successful vision and mandate for our government with the support, knowledge and contributions of NTI, and they were an essential partner in our mandate development.
I look forward to working collaboratively to implement the Ikajuqtigiikta mandate, and the Nunavut Partnership Committee on our many shared priorities, as we work towards our common goal: building a stronger Nunavut.
