Qikiqtarjuaq, Nunavut – A mobile TB Screening Clinic became operational in Qikiqtarjuaq earlier this week, and today, Premier Paul Quassa toured the clinic with Minister of Health Pat Angnakak as the Government of Nunavut takes bold action to reduce the number of TB infections. The Premier and Minister were joined on the tour by Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami President Natan Obed, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. President Aluki Kotierk, Qikiqtani Inuit Association President PJ Akeeagok, and Qikiqtarjuaq Mayor Mary Killiktee. IQALUIT, Nunavut – Premier Paul Quassa and Cabinet Ministers met this week to discuss priorities for the new government mandate of Nunavut’s fifth Legislative Assembly. The Cabinet retreat wrapped up in Igloolik on Thursday. During the week-long retreat, Cabinet met with the Tuukkaq Elders’ Society, the Igloolik Hamlet Council, Kingulliit Productions, staff at Government of Nunavut offices, students at the elementary and high schools, and took part in a community feast on Thursday evening. IQALUIT, Nunavut – Premier Paul Quassa today announced additional changes to the Government of Nunavut’s senior management team. Effective January 8, 2018: Udloriak (Udlu) Hanson becomes Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Transportation. Sheila Kolola becomes President of the Nunavut Arctic College. IQALUIT, Nunavut – Premier Quassa has announced changes to the Government of Nunavut’s (GN) senior management. "A new Executive Council means a fresh start for our territory, and an opportunity to renew our direction and commitment to our people and partnerships," said Premier Quassa.
